Description
In traditional national recipes, I do not recommend changing or adding anything, but rather following the recipe exactly—then a piece of Portugal will appear in your kitchen. Serve with tea or coffee.

1. Mix 50 ml of milk with flour.

2. Add cinnamon and zest to the remaining milk and gradually bring to a boil.

3. Combine both milk mixtures with the flour and cook over low heat until thickened.

4. Add sugar to the water and, WITHOUT STIRRING, bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes, then remove from heat.

5. Pour the hot syrup into the milk mixture and stir.

6. Then strain and slightly cool.

7. Add the egg yolks and mix well. Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly onto the surface of the cream, and chill.

8. If your dough is in layers, roll them up into a log.

9. Cut into pieces 1.5 - 2 cm in size.

10. Place into molds greased with butter.

12. Bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees for 17–20 minutes. At the end, you can place under the broiler. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
