Easter cake
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. For the Easter cake, I bought a ready-made sponge cake in advance—you can either make it yourself or do as I did. I decided to focus mainly on making homemade fondant and decorating the cake. As you can see, the cake turned out very appetizing. Next, I'll explain in detail,
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. If you want to make a cake with a filling, cut the biscuit in half (or into three parts) and spread your favorite cream, jam, syrup, or preserves between the layers.
- 2
Step 2

To make the fondant, place the marshmallows and 1 tablespoon of cold water into a glass bowl and microwave for 40 seconds.
- 3
Step 3

By this time, the marshmallows will have melted nicely; now we need to thoroughly mix the melted marshmallows until smooth and uniform in consistency.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the powdered sugar and starch, add to the marshmallow, and knead the mixture until it reaches a plasticine-like consistency.
- 5
Step 5

This is what the homemade fondant should look like.
- 6
Step 6

Roll out the fondant into a thin layer and place it on the biscuit base, previously soaked with sugar syrup.
- 7
Step 7

Smooth it out well and remove any excess.
- 8
Step 8

Decorate the top of the cake with powdered sugar and fondant balls.
- 9
Step 9

The cake is ready. Enjoy your tea!
