Easter sweet bread
Description
I'll share my grandmother's recipe with you. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. My grandmother used only the finest products in her Easter kulich: homemade eggs and milk, and premium-grade flour. I recommend you do the same—it truly makes it more delicious.
- 2
Step 2

Slightly warm the milk (to a temperature of about 30 degrees) and dissolve the yeast in it completely.
- 3
Step 3

Separately beat the eggs with sugar, then add them to the milk.
- 4
Step 4

Melt the margarine over low heat or in a water bath and add it to the starter. Mix well and let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Gradually add the sifted flour and knead a soft dough.
- 6
Step 6

Place the dough in a warm spot for 20–30 minutes to let it rise, then knead it again.
- 7
Step 7

Divide the dough into 3 equal parts and place them into paper molds. Let it rise in a warm place for 15 minutes so it rises again.
- 8
Step 8

Bake the kuliches in the oven at 200 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.
- 9
Step 9

For the icing, beat the egg white with powdered sugar using a mixer until the mixture thickens. Spread the icing over the top of the kulich, then decorate with colored sugar sprinkles.
