Sweet Easter Kulich

Description

Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. Kulichi are baked from rich yeast dough. Many add raisins, dried apricots, and other dried fruits, as well as aromatic spices to kulichi. Traditionally, kulichi are decorated with icing and sprinkles. You can make large kulichi using a pie pan or individual ones using muffin tins. Serve warm or chilled. Ideal with tea.

    1. Sift 2 cups of flour into a bowl, add warm milk and yeast, stir and set aside for half an hour.

    2. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Add granulated sugar to the yolks in a bowl and beat until a light mixture forms. Beat the egg whites separately until soft peaks form.

    4. Add the beaten egg yolks to it, mix well with a spatula.

    12. Bake the kulich for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 175-180 degrees.
