
Easter kulich with raisins and candied fruits

Dissolve the yeast with two pinches of sugar. Warm the milk. Pour it over the yeast and mix.

Add one tablespoon of flour to the mixture. Mix again. Let it sit in a warm place for 20 minutes.

Beat the remaining sugar with the egg yolks. Add vanilla sugar. Continue beating until pale white.

Rinse the raisins and soak them briefly in boiling water. Then add them to the egg mixture together with the candied fruits.

Sift the flour into a separate bowl. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Add the butter and rub it in. Then add the sour cream and diluted yeast. Next, pour in the yolks with dried fruits.

Knead the dough. If necessary, add more flour to achieve the desired thickness. Place the dough ball in a warm spot for one hour.

Place the future kuliches in greased molds into a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Fill the molds with dough up to one-third. Bake for about half an hour. However, check for doneness with a wooden skewer. Insert it into the baked goods. If no dough sticks to it, the item is ready.

Meanwhile, mix one egg white with a packet of confectioner's glaze. Stir well. Spread the glaze over the already cooled Easter breads and decorate with candied fruits.
