Easter kulich with candied fruits
Description
The baking is simple and quick. We've prepared Easter kuliches with candied fruits. Of course, you can replace the candied fruits with any dried fruits. It's just that this is a ready-made mix, so there's no need to come up with anything yourself. Kuliches are quite complex to make, so the first attempt might not turn out as planned. But experience comes with time. Every homemaker has their own recipe. I've shared mine with you. The baking is ready. Serve it at the table.

Step 1

First, dissolve the yeast in warm milk with sugar. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then combine this mixture with softened butter, eggs, and spices. Mix well, gradually adding flour. Knead the dough.

Step 2

Place the kneaded dough in a warm spot and cover it with a towel. After a couple of hours, it should have risen. Then add candied fruits to it. You can also add dried fruits such as raisins, prunes, apricots, etc. Mix everything evenly.

Step 3

Now we prepare the molds for the Easter bread. You can use several small ones or a couple of large ones. I prefer large Easter breads because they have softer crumb inside. Grease the molds with butter and coat them with fine breadcrumbs or semolina to prevent burning. Let them sit for half an hour, allowing the dough to rise to the top of the molds.

Step 4

When the dough has risen, place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, brushing the loaves with butter beforehand. If the loaves are in large molds, the baking time will be longer. Bake for about an hour over moderate heat. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Step 5

Beat the egg white with sugar until a thick foam forms. Take the kulich, carefully pour the glaze over it. Then take colorful sprinkles (or candied fruits) and generously cover the kulich. Look at the beauty we've got!
