
Easter kulich on sour cream
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. This method of making an Easter kulich with sour cream truly deserves attention. In this version, only raisins are added to the dough, but you can use a variety of candied fruits, dried fruits, and nuts. Although the process takes time and a bit of patience, the result is definitely worth it. Serve with tea or coffee.

1. Slightly warm the milk, dissolve the yeast in it. Let the yeast sit for about 10 minutes.

2. Then add the eggs (2 whole eggs and 1 egg white). Add the sour cream, sprinkle in the sugar (adjust the amount according to your taste), and add vanilla. Beat until smooth.

3. Sift the flour in advance with a pinch of salt. Gradually add it in small portions to the liquid mixture. Knead for at least half an hour to ensure the homemade Easter kulich made with sour cream turns out just right.

4. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and place it in a warm spot for 1 hour. Then add the soft butter and knead again. Leave it in a warm place for another 1.5–2 hours.

5. Rinse the raisins under running water. If desired, you can soak them in brandy, liqueur, rum, or another alcohol.

7. Dry the raisins slightly, roll them in flour, and add to the dough. Knead the dough once again (for about 15-20 minutes). Let it rest for half an hour.

9. Beat the previously set aside egg yolk with a spoonful of milk.

10. Brush the tops of the future kuliches with this mixture, then place the molds in the preheated oven. Bake at approximately 200 degrees Celsius for 20-35 minutes, depending on the size of the molds.
