Milk Easter pudding
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. 1. The recipe for making milk paskha consists of several steps. First, pour milk into a saucepan and place it over low heat. 2. Meanwhile, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. 3. Add sour cream to the eggs and mix well. 4. When the milk comes to a boil, reduce the heat to the minimum and gradually pour in the sour cream and egg mixture. Constantly stir the mixture to prevent the eggs from curdling. Cook over low heat without stopping the stirring until whey appears on the surface. 5. Remove the milk mixture from the heat and let it cool slightly. 6. During this time, prepare a piece of cheesecloth to place the mixture into. 7. Hang the cheesecloth so that excess liquid can freely drain from the milk mixture. 8. At the second stage, cream softened butter with sugar until smooth. Add vanilla. 9. In this version, you can use any nuts, candied fruits, or dried fruits. Nuts should be shelled and slightly chopped; dried fruits are better soaked in boiling water for 2–4 minutes. Add the filling and mix thoroughly. 10. Transfer the resulting mixture into a mold, place under a press, and refrigerate for about 24 hours. Before serving, homemade milk paskha can be decorated and sprinkled with cocoa powder or coconut flakes. The ready dessert can now be served.
