Description

The recipe won't take much time. Dairy products have always been popular. Goat milk and cottage cheese were especially valued due to their high content of vitamins and minerals. As a result of processing, cottage cheese becomes close to meat in protein content, and its average calorie count is 155 kcal. You can prepare Easter paskha from goat cottage cheese the same way as from regular cottage cheese: blend the cottage cheese with cream, eggs, and butter. Add sugar and cook the mixture until thickened. Then let the paskha set in a mold overnight before serving. Serve chilled.

    1. Goat milk cottage cheese is very healthy, and pascha made from goat cottage cheese turns out very tasty, although it has a specific aftertaste. This aftertaste is smoothed out by vanilla sugar and butter. So, first, sieve the cottage cheese through a sieve.

    5. At the very end, add the butter and cook the mixture for another 3–5 minutes over very low heat. It's best to use a container with a non-stick bottom. If you don't have such a container, cook the mixture using a double boiler.

    6. I used a special mold for this paska. Turn it upside down and line it with cheesecloth, then place the curd mixture inside. Press firmly (it's better to put a weight on top), place a plate under the mold to collect the draining liquid, and put it in the refrigerator.

    7. The Easter cake should be left in the refrigerator overnight.

    8. Remove the paskha from the mold and transfer it onto a plate. Overnight, all the excess liquid will drain away, and the paskha itself will set.
