Bring the cream and vanilla to a boil. Add the beaten egg yolks, mix well, and cook for 5 minutes until thickened. Add the softened butter, remove from heat, and stir thoroughly.

Add the custard cream to the cottage cheese and beat with a mixer for 3 minutes.

Chop the nuts in a blender into coarse crumbs, soak the dried cranberries in boiling water for 15 minutes, then drain. Add to the cottage cheese mixture and mix well.

Line the Easter mold with cheesecloth, place the curd mixture inside, cover with cheesecloth, and refrigerate under a weight overnight.
