Easter dessert with dried fruits
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Squeeze the cottage cheese, pass it through a sieve, and place it into a large heavy-bottomed pot. Mix in eggs, sour cream, and butter. Place the pot over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly. When the mixture becomes warm, remove the pot from the heat, continue stirring, and place it into a bowl filled with cold water to cool down to room temperature. Add sugar, vanilla, finely chopped almonds, dried fruits (finely chopped), citrus zest, and raisins to the mixture. Thoroughly blend the mass. To ensure the paska easily releases from the mold while keeping its shape, line the mold with slightly damp cheesecloth before filling. Fill the mold with the mixture, cover with a small plate, place a light weight on top, and refrigerate for 24 hours. Remove from the mold, transfer onto a serving plate, and decorate with candied fruits, nuts, and draw designs using gel pens. The ready dessert can now be served.
