
Steamed hedgehogs with a spicy sauce

Dishes cooked by steaming are considered diet-friendly. You can always add flavor with a sauce.

Rinse the rice for the hodgepodge and pour boiling water over it for 3 minutes. Then drain the water and let the rice dry slightly in a colander.

Mix the minced meat with finely chopped green onions, add an egg, soy sauce, a little ground ginger and pepper. Season the mixture with salt to taste and knead thoroughly.

With wet hands, roll into small round hedgehog-shaped meatballs.

Place the meatballs on the steamer rack and steam for 25 minutes.

7 minutes before cooking is complete, add carrot slices and broccoli to the steamer. You'll get a healthy side dish.

The dish will gain extra flavor from the sauce. Mix and whisk together mild grainy mustard, pesto, lemon juice, and olive oil using a fork. Drizzle the sauce over the meatballs and vegetables when serving, and garnish the dish with fresh herbs.
