Beef Paprikash
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. Here is a fairly simple recipe for beef paprikash. 1. First, wash and dry the meat, then cut it into small pieces. 2. Peel the onion and chop into medium-sized cubes or half-rings. 3. Pour a little vegetable or butter into a deep skillet with high sides and a thick bottom (you can also use a sauté pan or a wok), and heat it well. Add the onion and sauté, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. 4. Then add paprika to the skillet and stir vigorously until the paprika absorbs all the oil. If you stop stirring, the paprika may clump. 5. Now add the meat. 6. Season with salt to taste. To make the homemade beef paprikash more piquant, you can optionally add hot pepper or other favorite spices. 7. Wash and clean the sweet pepper. Cut into small cubes and add to the meat. 8. Pour in a little water (the meat should braise, not boil) and cover with a lid. Simmer the meat over low heat until fully cooked. 9. Five to seven minutes before the end of cooking, add sour cream. Stir thoroughly and simmer a little longer. Beef paprikash can be served with any side dish. The finished dish is ready to be served.
