
Sticks in cups with vanilla cream

Recipe for vanilla sticks in chocolate dough cups filled with vanilla cream. This recipe yields 1 dozen cups with sticks.

Step 1

1. Make the sticks. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. In a small bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, beat butter using a mixer. Add sugar and beat. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Add half of the flour mixture to the bowl and mix. Add the remaining flour and mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.

2. Prepare the topping. Grind crackers in a food processor. Mix with sugar. Add melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Preheat the oven to 160°C. Remove the chilled dough from the refrigerator and shape into sticks, using about 1 tablespoon of dough per stick.

3. Roll the sticks in the prepared breadcrumbs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake for 20-23 minutes. Let cool completely.

5. Prepare the cups. Spray a muffin tin with cooking oil. In a small bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, beat butter using a mixer. Add sugar and beat until combined. Beat in egg, almond extract, and vanilla extract. Add half of the flour mixture to the bowl and mix. Add the remaining flour and mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.

6. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Remove the chilled dough from the refrigerator and place 3 tablespoons of dough into each muffin cup, shaping them into cups. Bake for 15–18 minutes. Let cool completely. Fill the cups with vanilla cream, insert one stick into each cup, and serve.
