Pakoras
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. I didn’t call the batter for this appetizer “special” for nothing—it really is different from what we’re used to, even though it’s made from the same ingredients: eggs, milk, and flour. It also includes various spices that give the finished dish an unusual and superb aroma. Which spices go into the batter depends on what the appetizer is based on. If you’re making pakoras from cauliflower or broccoli, the batter will include oregano, black pepper, red pepper, coriander, and other spices. I suggest making fruit banana pakoras, so we’ll add ground cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and a little ground red pepper to the batter. So, write down the recipe. Serve the appetizer at the table.

Mix the milk with the egg and flour. Add the spices. Note: you can vary the amount of spices to suit your taste, but remember that pakoras are an Indian dish, so they are typically very heavily spiced.

- 4
Step 4

Place the banana pieces on a well-heated skillet and fry them on both sides until golden.

The banana pakoras are ready. They pair perfectly with herbal tea, and I also really love eating them with hot coffee :) give them a try, experiment, and enjoy good food!
