Walnut Baklava

Description

Homemade pastry for tea. To make walnut baklava, first prepare the dough, then make the filling. Divide the dough into 6 parts and the filling into 5 parts, spreading the filling between each layer. Then simply bake the baklava and brush the top with honey. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

    Break two eggs into a bowl, beat them, add yeast and clarified butter, mix, gradually add flour and salt, and knead the dough until it becomes smooth and uniform.

    Chop the walnuts in any convenient way, preferably using a food processor, and mix with sugar.

    Divide the dough into six parts, meaning we will have 5 layers. Roll out each piece of dough very thinly. Grease the baking sheet with butter and place the first layer of dough on it. Spread one-fifth of the nut-sugar filling over it. Repeat this process several more times until all the layers are used. Now, you can brush the surface of the dough with butter and cut the baklava into diamond shapes.

    Bake the baklava in the oven for 35 minutes at 180 degrees. Then remove, brush with honey, and bake again for 7 minutes. The baklava is ready, serve at the table.
