Honey baklava
Description
The recipe won't take much time. If you follow all the recommendations, the dessert will turn out no worse than the original version made in Turkey. We won't add too much sugar so it doesn't become overly sweet. Be prepared that the preparation may be challenging. Serve chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Warm the milk and dissolve the sugar and yeast in it.
- 2
Step 2

Melt 25 grams of butter with the egg. Add a pinch of salt, sour cream, and sifted flour. Mix well.
- 3
Step 3

Pour in the milk with yeast and knead the dough. Roll the dough into a ball and let it rise, covered with a towel, in a warm place for an hour and a half.
- 4
Step 4

Grind 130 g of nuts in a blender. Add powdered sugar and cinnamon. Grind again.
- 5
Step 5

Roll the prepared dough into a sausage shape and divide it into 13 parts.
- 6
Step 6

Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil. Roll out one thin layer of dough and stretch it over the pan.
- 7
Step 7

Melt 60 g of butter. Brush it onto the bottom layer of dough. Then roll out the second layer and place it on top.
- 8
Step 8

Butter it with butter and sprinkle 1/10 of the chopped nuts.
- 9
Step 9

Roll out the dough and layer it, brushing with oil and sprinkling with filling. Stop when you have 2 pieces of dough left.
- 10
Step 10

Roll out two layers and place them on top without filling, but with butter. Seal the edges of the bottom layer. Beat an egg and brush it over the top of the pastry.
- 11
Step 11

Make diamond-shaped cuts and place half a walnut in the center of each. Bake the dish for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
- 12
Step 12

Then melt the remaining butter. Pour it over the baklava and continue baking for another 25 minutes. Run a knife through the cuts once again.
- 13
Step 13

Make the syrup. Mix hot mineral water with honey. Remove the dessert and pour the syrup over it so that it is completely soaked. Bake the baklava for another 10 minutes.
- 14
Step 14

Let the baked goods cool completely. Then cut them into diamonds and let them rest for 20 minutes. Then taste!
