First, we chop the walnuts, mix them with cinnamon, and lightly toast them without adding oil for just 3-5 minutes.

Step 2

Now we take our ready-made puff pastry, roll it out and line the baking dish with a thin layer. The dish should be greased with clarified butter beforehand.

Step 3

We place a layer of walnuts sautéed with cinnamon onto the dough.

Step 4

And again cover the nuts with a layer of dough.

We do this for each layer, a total of 3 times. Then we cut the baklava into diamonds and place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Step 6

While the baklava is baking, we'll prepare the syrup for it. We place butter into a saucepan and pour in honey.

Step 7

Now add the sugar.

Step 8

We add vanilla extract and water, then melt the mixture over a double boiler until smooth. When the baklava is ready, we take it out and pour the prepared mixture over it, leaving it for some time to soak.
