Pad Thai with shrimp
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Like any cooking enthusiast, I try to recreate dishes I've tasted in different countries and enjoyed the most. Pad Thai is a very popular dish in Thailand. It's made with meat, mushrooms, shrimp, tofu, and served in any good restaurant or sold right on the streets. Today I want to offer you a recipe for Pad Thai with shrimp. Prepare all the ingredients in advance, as the dish cooks very quickly and turns out incredibly delicious. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 15-20 minutes, and thaw and peel the shrimp. Then fry them for 1 minute over high heat in vegetable oil, stirring constantly.

Step 2

The sauce should be prepared in advance, as you won't have time later. Mix fish sauce, tamarind paste, sugar, and chili flakes or ground chili pepper. Stir well—slightly warm the mixture to dissolve the sugar.

Step 3

Add the tofu, cut into strips, to a hot wok with vegetable oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add the onion, cut into thin strips.
- 4
Step 4

Now it's time for the finely chopped garlic and green onion, which we cut not too finely. Turn up the heat and stir-fry for less than a minute.
- 5
Step 5

Add the cooked noodles to the wok, mix well. Pour in the prepared sauce, mix again and stir-fry for half a minute.
- 6
Step 6

Now we need to push all the ingredients in the wok to one side, add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil, and scramble the eggs, which should be mixed very quickly.
- 7
Step 7

It's time to add the bean sprouts to the wok. Fry everything over medium heat for about 2 minutes.

Step 8

Add the sautéed shrimp to the wok, mix everything, sprinkle with crushed peanuts, and serve hot, garnished with herbs of your choice.
