Pad Thai
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I first tried Pad Thai when I was vacationing in Thailand, where this dish is sold right on the streets. I tasted several versions of this incredibly delicious dish (a simplified one and one with seafood), and decided to try making it at home. The recipe for Pad Thai is not complicated at all, the main thing is to have all the ingredients ready, and you need to cook very quickly. The finished dish can now be served.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Wash the chicken fillet and cut it into small strips. Peel the shrimp and, if they are large, cut them into small pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Place the fillet and shrimp pieces into a bowl, then pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce. Let it sit for a while so the ingredients can absorb the flavor.
- 3
Step 3

Slice the white and light green parts of the green onion and the chili pepper into rounds, grate the ginger on a fine grater, and press the garlic.
- 4
Step 4

Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 5-6 minutes, then drain in a colander.
- 5
Step 5

Prepare the sauce: mix brown sugar, tamarind paste, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, and fish sauce. Stir well until smooth.
- 6
Step 6

We'll prepare more eggs, which we need to beat slightly and fry like an omelet. Then we'll slice it into small strips.
- 7
Step 7

Add garlic, ginger, pepper, and green onion to a large hot skillet with vegetable oil. Sauté over high heat for about a minute, stirring constantly.
- 8
Step 8

Next, add the chicken and shrimp to the pan, fry for about 3 minutes, then add the omelet.
- 9
Step 9

Now it's time for the noodles and sauce to go into the pan. We'll add the sauce gradually. Keep stirring until all the sauce is absorbed into the noodles.
- 10
Step 10

Next, add chopped cilantro, green onion tops, and soybean sprouts. Mix well, cover with a lid, remove from heat, and let stand for about 5 minutes.
- 11
Step 11

Serve Pad Thai with peanuts and lime wedges.
