Oat bread in a bread maker
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. This bread is ideal for a hearty and healthy breakfast: it's slightly sweet, soft, and tender—just right for sandwiches and toasts. I also enjoy it with soups, especially in summer, with cold soup (okroshka). Try making this simple oat bread recipe in your bread machine—I'm sure you won't regret it! Take the butter out of the fridge in advance so it softens slightly. Sift both wheat and oat flour into the bread machine bowl, add yeast and salt, then mix. Pour in the yogurt or kefir, water, add honey and softened butter. Turn on the bread machine to the dough kneading mode. After the machine beeps signaling the end of kneading, let the dough rest for half an hour. Brush the surface of the loaf with water or egg yolk and sprinkle with oat flakes. Choose your preferred crust color and thickness, select the "Basic" program, and go about your house, breathing in the amazing aroma of baking bread and salivating. Once ready, transfer the loaf to a wire rack and cover with a towel. You can eat the bread after 20 minutes, but honestly, by that time half the loaf is usually already nibbled away. So stay alert! Serve cooled or slightly warm.
