
Oat dessert with chocolate and nuts
Description
The recipe won't take much time. This oat dessert with chocolate and nuts tastes similar to chocolate bars. You can serve the dessert chilled from the refrigerator, frozen in the freezer, or at room temperature. The dish is made from simple ingredients, yet looks absolutely delicious. Serve chilled.

1. Preheat the oven with the rack in the center to 175 degrees. Grease a 22x32 cm baking pan. To make the oat layer, mix flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Using a mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy. Add brown sugar and beat for 2 minutes. Then add the eggs one at a time, beating for 1 minute after each addition. Beat in the vanilla extract. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the dry ingredients. Mix in the oats and chopped peanuts with a rubber spatula. Set aside 1½ - 2 cups of the oat mixture, then press the remaining mixture into the prepared pan and smooth evenly.

2. Make the chocolate layer. Place a bowl over a saucepan with boiling water. Add condensed milk, chocolate, butter, and salt to the bowl. Cook, stirring, until the chocolate and butter melt. Remove the bowl from the saucepan and stir in vanilla extract, raisins (if using), and chopped peanuts.

3. Pour the hot chocolate mixture over the oat layer in the pan. Top with the remaining oat mixture, no need to smooth it out. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack in the pan for about 2 hours. Using a knife, remove the dessert from the pan onto the rack. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing.
