
Oatmeal cookies with nuts and cherries
Description
Homemade cookies for tea. You can use either fresh seasonal berries or frozen ones for this recipe. You can use any nuts you like—I used walnuts, but almonds, cashews, or peanuts will work just as well. This treat will undoubtedly turn out incredibly delicious and healthy! These cookies are perfect for breakfast or a snack during the day! This recipe yields 12 delicious cookies. If desired, double or triple the ingredients—I assure you, these cookies won't last long on the table. Serve cooled or slightly warm with tea, coffee, or milk.

1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients.

2. Melt the butter in the microwave. Pour it into a deep bowl, add 3 tablespoons of sugar, salt, and whisk. Add the egg.

3. Beat everything together once more and add the oat flakes ground in a blender. Toast the flakes in a pan beforehand, stirring for about 5-10 minutes.

4. Similarly, add the chopped nuts.

5. Add the flour and baking powder.

6. Mix everything until smooth. You should get a fairly sticky and thick dough.

7. Put the dough in the refrigerator and prepare the cherries. Wash the berries thoroughly and remove the pits. Sprinkle with one tablespoon of sugar, and optionally add a little liqueur.

8. Heat the cherries over low heat until the sugar dissolves and the berries release their juice. Boil for no more than two minutes after boiling begins, then let cool.

9. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape the dough into equal-sized balls and slightly flatten them with your hand. Make an indentation in the center and place a cooled cherry into each. Bake at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes.
