Oatmeal cookies (simple recipe)
Description
Use regular oat flakes, not instant or hard varieties that require long cooking. Brown sugar, of course, gives the cookies a special caramel flavor, so try not to substitute it. You should end up with about 20-25 delicious cookies in half an hour. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Soak the raisins in a small amount of rum or brandy beforehand. In the worst case — in warm water.
- 2
Step 2
Beat softened butter with sugar and vanilla sugar using a mixer.
- 3
Step 3
Whisk the egg with a whisk, add baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Combine with the butter mixture.
- 4
Step 4
Sift the flour, add it to the liquid ingredients in parts, and knead the dough. Then add the raisins.
- 5
Step 5
Add the oat flakes at the very end, otherwise the dough will turn out tough. Shape into small balls and place them on parchment paper.
- 6
Step 6
Bake at 180 degrees for 9-10 minutes. The cookies should brown around the edges, while the center remains pale.
