
Oat pancake with banana and cottage cheese
Description
Homemade baked goods for tea. A hearty, tasty breakfast will keep hunger at bay for a long time—almost until lunch. Children will love this dish; they adore sweet breakfasts before school. You can even make an oat pancake to take to school as a snack. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Prepare the ingredients listed. You may use cottage cheese of any fat content.

Crack the chicken egg into a deep bowl and beat with 1 tsp granulated sugar and 1 pinch of salt. Slice half a banana and arrange it in the bowl. Mash with a fork and beat everything again.

Add quick-cooking rolled oats and mix thoroughly. Leave for 5–8 minutes to soften and absorb liquid.

Heat neutral vegetable oil in a skillet or melt butter. Spoon in the oat–egg mixture and spread it evenly. Fry the oat pancake for 1–2 minutes over moderate heat, then flip and fry for the same length of time on the other side.

Place the oat pancake on a plate. Mix the cottage cheese with the remaining sugar and salt and spread it over half of the oat pancake. Slice half the banana and arrange the slices on the cottage cheese layer.
