
Oat pancake with water
Description
The recipe won’t take much time. A golden, satisfying oat pancake can be filled with tomatoes, cheese, cottage cheese, pâté or sausage and served at the table. Choose fillings to suit your taste. The dish is calorie-rich, high in carbohydrates and very filling. Serve warm or chilled. Perfect with tea.

Prepare the ingredients listed. It is best to use quick-cooking oats so they swell well in the liquid.

Crack the chicken eggs into a deep bowl or salad bowl. Add salt and ground black pepper; pour in cold water. Whisk everything for about 1–2 minutes.

Pour the oats into the container and stir. If desired, you can add various spices and seasonings. Leave the oats to swell for about 3-5 minutes.

Heat the frying pan and pour vegetable oil into it. You can substitute it with butter or good-quality coconut oil to taste. Stir the egg–oat mixture once more and pour it into the pan.

Cover the container with a lid, reduce the heat to moderate, and fry the oat pancake for approximately 5–6 minutes until golden brown.

Place the hot oat pancake on a plate and serve with vegetable sticks, fresh herbs, sauces, or dips.
