Oatmeal in the microwave
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Thanks to the milk and added butter, the oatmeal cooked in the microwave turns out very juicy and tender. Even children who don't particularly like oatmeal cooked with boiling water will happily eat it for breakfast. Serve savory oatmeal with meat or sausage. If preparing it sweet, serve with fruits or berries. Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Use quick-cooking oatmeal so the porridge is ready in 3-4 minutes. You can use milk of any fat content.
- 2
Step 2

Pour the oat flakes into a deep container without golden or silver patterns. Add salt. If you are preparing sweet oatmeal, add 1 pinch of salt and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.
- 3
Step 3

Pour in the milk and gently mix everything. Place the container in the microwave and cover it with a special plastic lid. You can also cook without the lid, but it will take one minute longer. Turn on the appliance at the highest power setting and set the timer for 3 minutes.

Step 4

After the specified time, the flakes will swell well and absorb the milk. If you have a very powerful appliance, there's a chance the milk may boil over the edges of the container. This can happen! Remove the container and carefully stir the prepared porridge.

Step 5

Add the butter and mix it into the porridge. The oatmeal is completely ready in the microwave!

Step 6

Place the fragrant porridge on a plate and serve with meat or sausage, a vegetable salad, or jam or preserves if the porridge is sweet.
