Description
Vegetable manty can be made at home using any combination of ingredients. Zucchini, peppers, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and even cabbage work perfectly—use any vegetables in any combination. Serve them as a main dish or as a hot appetizer.

1. The recipe for vegetable mantu is quite simple. First, wash the sweet pepper and remove the seeds and stem. Cut it into thin half-rings or small cubes. Peel the pumpkin and chop it. Wash the zucchini and cut into small pieces. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle with 2–3 tablespoons of olive oil and transfer to a heatproof dish or baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle with spices or dried herbs on top.

2. In a preheated oven, the vegetables will bake for about 25-30 minutes. They should become soft. After cooking, let the filling cool down completely.

3. Meanwhile, prepare the dough. Add a pinch of salt and a little vegetable oil to warm water, then mix in flour. Knead a firm yet soft and elastic dough. Let it rest for a while, then knead again thoroughly. Roll it out thinly and cut into fairly large circles.

4. Place the cooled filling into the dough and tightly seal the edges. Vegetable manty can be cooked at home by steaming or baking in the oven.

5. After 25-30 minutes, the manty will be ready and can be served. If desired, you can also prepare a tomato sauce with sweet and hot peppers, adding a little olive oil.
