Vegetables baked in the oven with cheese
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. In general, cheese goes well with any vegetables. But broccoli, potatoes, and cauliflower are especially good, in my opinion. To make the baked vegetables with cheese, I decided to add a few mushrooms to give the dish a more appetizing aroma, as well as a bit of apple for a sweet note. Of course, you can vary the selection of vegetables to your taste. The finished dish can be served at the table.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients in advance. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and cut them into quarters or slices. If the broccoli and cauliflower are frozen, defrost them first, then dry with paper towels and separate into florets.

Step 2

Slice the carrots and potatoes thinly into rounds, and cut the leek into half-rings. You can peel the apple, remove the core, and slice it into wedges.

Step 3

Place the potatoes in the baking dish as the first layer, seasoning them with salt and other spices. Then distribute the apples, onion, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, and mushrooms evenly (alternating or simply spreading uniformly). Sprinkle each layer with spices.

Step 4

Let the vegetables marinate in the spices for about 10 minutes. Then evenly coat them with mayonnaise or sour cream. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees. Bake the dish until done, approximately half an hour, maybe longer. I cook it by sight, or rather, by taste. A few minutes before it's ready, sprinkle with grated cheese and return the dish to the oven.

Step 5

Let the cheese crust brown, then let the dish cool. Serve the baked vegetables with cheese as a main dish, though it also works well as a side.
