Rosehip decoction
Description
The product's benefits come from its rich vitamin composition, including vitamins C, P, PP, and B-complex vitamins. It also contains essential microelements such as potassium, sodium, iron, and magnesium. Additionally, the berries contain tannins and peptides. Rosehip is exceptionally high in vitamin C—its content is dozens of times higher than that in lemons. Consuming properly prepared rosehip drink provides an excellent source of vitamins and strengthens the body's immune system. It helps combat fatigue and is especially beneficial during periods of vitamin deficiency. Rosehip can be brewed in a thermos, saucepan, or glass jar. Ground rosehip infuses much faster—just 2 hours in a jar—and is ready to drink, though it requires more careful straining to remove the tiny hairs inside the berries. I usually steep whole berries late in the evening, let it infuse overnight, and drink the decoction in the morning. The prepared decoction should be consumed within one day, as it should not be stored for longer than 24 hours. For children, this decoction is too concentrated and should be diluted with boiled water in a 1:1 ratio. By the way, a glass of rosehip decoction in the morning is invigorating and can even replace a cup of coffee.

Prepare clean filtered water and rose hips.

Sort the rose hips, discarding any soft or spoiled berries. Rinse under running water.

Bring one liter of water to a boil, add rose hips, and simmer for 1 minute. Cover with a lid, wrap the pot in a blanket, and let steep for 6–8 hours.

Rosehip decoction is ready for consumption.

Strain the decoction. Consume within 24 hours. Optionally, add a slice of lemon and a teaspoon of honey.
