Open apple pie
Description
The pastry is simple and quick to prepare. The main delight of this pie is its tender, crumbly dough—neither dry nor sticky. By the way, if you prefer flatter pies with a thinner layer of dough, choose a pan with a larger diameter. For an open apple pie, use two medium apples; I prefer sweet-tart ones. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.
