Open-faced cake
Description
Delicious dessert for the whole family. Condensed cream is used to achieve the proper consistency of this cake. I prepare this cake with "Cointreau" liqueur, which has a very strong and pleasant orange flavor. However, it can also be made without it. Chocolate can be substituted with "Nutella" or any other chocolate spread.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Crush the cookies into fine crumbs, mix with melted butter, and stir well.
- 2
Step 2
Press the mixture into a baking pan and refrigerate to chill.
- 3
Step 3
Dissolve the gelatin in warm water and cool it to room temperature.
- 4
Step 4
Beat the cream cheese with a blender until smooth, together with powdered sugar. Add condensed milk and continue beating. Pour in the gelatin mixture.
- 5
Step 5
Divide the cheese mixture into two equal parts. Add melted chocolate and hazelnuts to one part, and orange zest, juice, and liqueur (if using) to the other.
- 6
Step 6
The mixture should be thick, but if it's a bit runny, refrigerate it for a few minutes until it slightly thickens.
- 7
Step 7
Place the orange layer onto the base, then add the chocolate layer. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until set.
- 8
Step 8
Decorate the cake with grated chocolate, orange zest, and whipped cream.

Step 9
Remove from the oven and serve warm or cooled.
