Open pie with pears
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. I offer you a simple recipe for an open-faced pear tart. It is also known as "Tudor" pie: allegedly, English kings from this dynasty were very fond of enjoying this tart. The baked good is ready. Serve it at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the ingredients. Take the butter out of the refrigerator so it has time to soften.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the pears, dry them with paper towels or a clean cloth, and cut into slices no thicker than 1 centimeter. Squeeze juice from half a lemon, sprinkle it over the pears to prevent browning. Cover with a lid or a paper towel, and set aside for now.
- 3
Step 3

Beat the eggs with sugar and salt, add oil and milk, and beat again.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the flour with cinnamon, cocoa, and vanilla sugar, sift and gradually add to the dough.
- 5
Step 5

Beat with a mixer until a completely smooth and fairly thick batter is obtained.
- 6
Step 6

Pour the batter into a greased pan.
- 7
Step 7

Arrange the pears neatly on top.
- 8
Step 8

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. As always, check for doneness with a toothpick. Let the cake cool slightly, then cut into portions and, if desired, dust with powdered sugar. That's it—serve it up, Your Majesties! :)
