
Spicy tomato ketchup for winter storage
Description
Homemade sauce recipe. For ketchup, choose ripe red tomatoes. Select apples with a tart flavor. Adjust the amount of hot pepper and spices to your taste. This quantity of ingredients yields approximately 600 ml of finished ketchup. Serve the sauce with meat, fish, or use it as a salad dressing.

Prepare the ingredients.

Cut the tomatoes into large pieces and place them in a saucepan.

Add sliced apple pieces.

Peel the garlic and add it to the pot together with the hot pepper.

For flavor, add nutmeg, along with allspice, cardamom, and bay leaf.

Cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Transfer everything to a sieve and mash.
