Step 1

Measure the required amount of flour by placing the bowl on the scales.

Cut the butter into cubes. It should be at room temperature; if it has just come out of the refrigerator, let it sit for 20 minutes at room temperature.
- 3
Step 3

Add a pinch of salt to the flour.
- 4
Step 4

Then, add the butter to the bowl.
- 5
Step 5

Mix the butter and flour...
- 6
Step 6

... until it reaches a sandy consistency.
- 7
Step 7

Now add the egg...
- 8
Step 8

... and water.
- 9
Step 9

Mix the dough; you just need to combine all the ingredients and avoid overworking the dough.
- 10
Step 10

Then, knead the dough by hand for 30 seconds.
- 11
Step 11

Form flat dough patties and place them between two large sheets of plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- 12
Step 12

After 30 minutes, roll out the dough without removing the film.
- 13
Step 13

When the dough sheet becomes slightly larger than your baking pan, remove one film.
- 14
Step 14

Now flip the dough, place it onto the pan, then remove the other film.
- 15
Step 15

Place the dough in the pan, stretching it slightly toward the corners.
- 16
Step 16

Now, fold the excess dough over the edges of the pan.
- 17
Step 17

And use a rolling pin to "trim" the excess.
- 18
Step 18

With your hands, carefully press the edges together so that the dough slightly rises above the rim of the pan.
- 19
Step 19

Prick the bottom of the dough with a fork and refrigerate for 20 minutes before using.
