Octopus in Batter
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. This is a very original recipe that will come in handy for any hostess who wants to pleasantly surprise dear guests. Battered dishes always look unpredictable, since it is often not immediately clear what is inside the batter. 1. First, thaw the seafood at room temperature. Then rinse them thoroughly and pour boiling water over them. After the boiling water, it will be easy to remove the membrane from the octopus. 2. Cut the cooled octopus into strips about one to two centimeters wide. 3. In a bowl, whisk the milk with the eggs and flour. Add a pinch of salt. The batter should be thick, like sour cream. On a very hot skillet, fry the octopus, first dredging each piece in flour, then in the batter. Place the cooked octopus on paper towels so all the fat drains off. Then transfer to a nice plate. Serve hot. The appetizer is ready. Serve immediately.
