Octopus in the oven
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. It's hard to say that this is strictly Spanish cuisine—octopus is cooked everywhere there is easy access to seafood. I just happened to try it for the first time in Spain—that's where the recipe comes from. To prepare octopus in the oven, you'll need a large octopus weighing about 2 kilograms. I don't recommend using young potatoes—large, mature ones are perfect for baking. Check out the recipe. The finished dish can now be served.
Instructions

Step 1

Wash the octopus, cut the tentacles, and place them in a baking dish. Pour in wine and olive oil, add chopped parsley, salt, and bay leaf. Bake in the oven at 170°C for 45 minutes.

Step 2

Then place the octopus. Put the potatoes in the dish, you can even leave the skin on. If there is little oil and wine left in the dish, you can top it up.

Step 3

While the potatoes are baking in the oven, sauté the octopus in a small amount of oil in a skillet.

Step 4

When the potatoes are ready, sprinkle them with parsley. Our finished dish can also be served with green beans. Here is a recipe for baked octopus—cook and enjoy!
