
Sturgeon baked whole in the oven
Description
It's best to bake a whole sturgeon for a holiday celebration, so that you and your guests can enjoy the delicious taste of this delicacy fresh from the oven. This fish has relatively few bones, is easy to prepare, and turns out juicy and flavorful.

We will thoroughly wash and dry the gutted sturgeon. Rub it inside and out with a mixture of salt and black pepper. Place lemon slices, one head of garlic cut in half, herbs, and half of the butter cut into pieces into the cavity. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next day, place the remaining pieces of butter on the fish. Pour wine into the baking tray, add a halved garlic head and sprigs of rosemary and thyme. In the empty space, you can place potatoes to bake. Purple potatoes are shown in the photo.

And we send the sturgeon into a preheated oven at 180 degrees for one hour. After 40 minutes, we turn the fish over so that it bakes evenly on all sides.

If you have a large serving dish, you can present the sturgeon whole at the table and slice it in front of your guests. Alternatively, it's better to cut it on a baking tray and serve with potatoes and salad.
