
Cherry Ossetian pie
Description
Delicious baked treat for the whole family. A sweet and summery version of Ossetian pie. To prepare it, knead a yeast dough and let it rise for 2 hours. Then divide it into two parts and roll each into flat rounds. On one round, place pitted cherries and generously sprinkle with sugar. Make several slits in the second round and place it on top of the filling. Seal the edges and bake the pie in the oven for 30 minutes. Once done, brush the pie with butter and serve. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.

Dissolve the yeast, sugar, and a pinch of flour in warm milk. Wait 10 minutes, then add salt and flour, and mix.

Also add the egg, kefir, melted butter, and knead the dough. After kneading well, shape it into a ball and let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours.

Divide the prepared dough into two parts and roll each part into a round flatbread. Remove the pits from the cherries, spread the cherries over the surface of one of the flatbreads, and generously sprinkle with sugar.

On the second flatbread, make random cuts and cover the filling with it. Pinch the edges around to seal. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place the pie on it, and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for half an hour. Brush the finished pie with butter and serve.
