Original chicken meatballs
Description
The recipe won't take much time. I suggest trying juicy and tender meatballs cooked in the microwave. They got their name due to a slightly unusual presentation and cooking method. Despite the seemingly "fancy" recipe, the dish turns out simple to prepare and incredibly delicious! Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For this recipe, it's best to use very young cabbage, still green.
- 2
Step 2

Shred the cabbage thinly into long strips with a sharp knife, as shown in the photo. The thinner you slice it, the more delicious and tender the meatballs will turn out.
- 3
Step 3

Sprinkle the cabbage evenly with a tablespoon of potato starch. Mix by hand and transfer to a plate for now.
- 4
Step 4

In a deep bowl, combine the chicken mince and feta.
- 5
Step 5

Add the remaining starch, olive oil, grated ginger on a fine grater, oregano, and salt to taste.
- 6
Step 6

Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
- 7
Step 7

Wet your hands with cold water and shape the resulting mixture into meatballs, choosing the size to your preference. Roll each meatball separately in the chopped cabbage leaves.
- 8
Step 8

Place the skinned meatballs into any suitable microwave-safe container. I use a regular round plate.
- 9
Step 9

Wrap the dish tightly with plastic wrap (choose one suitable for microwave use) and cook the meatballs in the microwave at full power for about 6–8 minutes. The original chicken meatballs are ready! Sprinkle with grated ginger before serving to add a touch of spiciness.
- 10
Step 10

Serve the ready meatballs hot or warm. I served them with soy sauce, but you can use any other sauce or serve the dish on its own, with fresh vegetables or even with any side dish of your choice.

Step 11

The meatballs according to this recipe turn out very tender and juicy, I highly recommend trying them! This dish will definitely diversify any diet.
