
Nut Cake per GOST Standard
Description
A tasty bake for the whole family. If you don’t have cashews on hand, try substituting walnuts. Choose butter of proven quality with a fat content of at least 82.5%. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

Lay out all the ingredients for preparation on the table.

Finely chop the cashews with a knife.

Spread the chopped nuts on a dry skillet and toast over medium heat, stirring with a spatula, until lightly golden.

Place softened butter in a large bowl and add sugar and vanilla sugar.

Using a mixer, beat these ingredients vigorously until creamy.

Beat in the eggs.

Beat in the eggs with a mixer.

Sift the flour with the baking powder and mix with a spatula.

Add crushed cashew nuts. Mix them into the dough. You should end up with a fairly thick, sticky dough.

Pour the dough into a baking pan, smooth it out, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40–45 minutes. I use a silicone pan, so I don’t grease it.
