
Nut cookies with creamy sauce
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Nutty pastries with creamy caramel are perfect served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve chilled.

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking powder. Set aside. In another container, mix melted butter with brown sugar. Add lightly beaten eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.

2. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Mix thoroughly, but do not beat. Add chopped walnuts and chocolate chips. The dough should be thick.

3. Spray the pie pan with oil and place the prepared dough in it. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, then let it cool and cut into slices.

4. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the cream, maple syrup, and corn syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and cook for 20–30 minutes, until thickened. The sauce is ready once it has reduced by about 1/3.

5. Before serving, you can reheat the pastries on a cast-iron skillet or in the microwave for about 25 seconds. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, then pour warm sauce over it and sprinkle chopped walnuts on top.
