Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare all ingredients before starting the cooking process.
- 2
Step 2

Place the peanuts on a dry skillet and toast over low heat until golden.
- 3
Step 3

In a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour in all the sugar, add water, and honey.
- 4
Step 4

Boil the syrup over medium heat until it comes to a boil, then continue boiling for 15 minutes, stirring regularly with a spoon.
- 5
Step 5

I squeezed the lemon juice from a lemon, but you can also use store-bought.
- 6
Step 6

Place egg whites in a large bowl and beat them with a mixer until foam appears, then add lemon juice and continue beating the egg white mixture until soft peaks form.
- 7
Step 7

Now, slowly pour the honey syrup from the saucepan in a thin stream, continuing to beat with a mixer. Keep beating the mixture with the mixer until you feel it becoming increasingly difficult for the mixer to turn, which should take about 7–10 minutes after adding the honey syrup.
- 8
Step 8

Add all the roasted peanuts to the sweet mixture and stir with a spoon until evenly distributed.
- 9
Step 9

Line a convenient mold for nougat with plastic wrap, lightly coat it with vegetable oil, and place the entire nut mixture inside, smoothing it with a spoon. Refrigerate the nougat mold overnight — it should set completely.
- 10
Step 10

By morning, I ended up with this sheet of nougat.
- 11
Step 11

Cut the nougat slab into cubes using a wet knife and serve. Chilled nougat holds its shape well, but at room temperature it becomes softer after some time.
