Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. Cover with clean water, bring to a boil, and stir. Reduce the heat to the lowest setting and cook for 15 minutes with the lid on. Then cover the pot with a clean towel and place the lid on top; let stand for another 15 minutes. Let the rice cool slightly, add rice vinegar, salt, and sugar, and mix.

Cut the cucumbers into sticks, sprinkle with salt, and let sit for 10–12 minutes. Then drain the liquid that has formed and squeeze the cucumbers thoroughly.

Dress the cucumber filling with sesame oil, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. Add finely chopped dill. Mix everything together.

Wet your hands and the onigiri mold with water. Fill the mold halfway, making an indentation for the filling. Place a little cream cheese in the center.
