Steamed Omelet for Kids
Description
Suitable for both special occasions and everyday meals. You can make a steamed omelet for children at home using any vegetables you have in the refrigerator. If you have muffin molds among your kitchen utensils, the omelet will not only be healthy but will also delight your little one with its appearance. You can also use boiled meat or a pinch of cheese as a filling.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

1. Beat the egg into a small bowl. For one serving, use 1 egg; if needed, you can use more eggs.
- 2
Step 2

2. Add a couple of tablespoons of milk and beat with a whisk or fork.
- 3
Step 3

3. In this case, the recipe for making an omelette in a steamer for children calls for broccoli; however, you can use absolutely any vegetables your little one likes. Wash the broccoli and pat it dry lightly.
- 4
Step 4

4. Chop very finely with a knife so no large pieces remain. Even a little one who doesn’t like vegetables will gobble up an omelet like this.
- 5
Step 5

5. Add the broccoli to the egg and mix well. For young children, you don’t need to salt the omelet; for older children and adults, you can add a pinch of salt.
- 6
Step 6

6. Divide the prepared mixture among 2–3 cupcake molds. Of course, you can also make a steamed omelet for children at home in a bowl if you don’t have molds.
- 7
Step 7

7. Place the omelet in the steamer for 10–12 minutes. To make the dish more vibrant and colorful, you can prepare several colorful versions — with carrot, pumpkin, beet, or tomato.
- 8
Step 8

8. Carefully remove the finished omelet from the molds (this is easy, as even without a drop of oil nothing sticks to the silicone molds) and you can call the little one to the table.
