Step 1

1. The recipe for a herb omelet is so simple that even a child can make it. You can use absolutely anything — parsley, dill, spinach, basil, and whatever else you have on hand.

Step 2

2. Wash the herbs thoroughly, dry them well, and chop them (if using dried herbs, you can add them either to the eggs or to the hot oil). Set aside some of the chopped herbs for garnish before serving.

Step 3

3. Crack the eggs into a deep bowl and beat with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the herbs and mix thoroughly.

Step 4

4. Heat a small piece of butter in a skillet (you can use vegetable oil instead if you prefer) and carefully pour in the omelette. Cook over medium heat with the lid on for 3–4 minutes.

Step 5

5. The finished omelet can be served right away, with sauce or a garnish on the side if you like.

Step 6

6. The classic herb omelet recipe can be made even more interesting and appetizing. To do this, spread grated cheese over the entire surface of the hot omelet (you can also use soft cheese if desired, chopped into pieces) and carefully roll it into a roll. You can do this in the pan, frying it for another 1–2 minutes so the edges set. The result is an incredibly delicious omelet with a melted cheese filling.
