Omelet with kefir
Description
It is suitable both for holidays and for everyday meals. For preparation, perhaps only one condition is essential—the presence of eggs. Everything else can be varied. People add milk, soured milk, and kefir to it. In general, any dairy and fermented dairy products will fit well in this dish. Fresh herbs will complement it perfectly. It can be served warm or chilled.

Step 1

Take a deep bowl. Crack the eggs into it. Take a whisk or a mixer and beat the eggs until smooth. Pour in the kefir and beat again.

Step 2

For the omelet, you can use any sausage to your taste. I usually add whatever I have lying around in the fridge. Cut the sausage into small cubes and toss it into the eggs.

Step 3

An omelet can be made without herbs. But I am used to adding them everywhere. I always have a bunch of parsley or green onions on hand. We wash the herbs, chop them, and put them in a bowl. Add salt and pepper.

Step 4

Now take a frying pan. Put it on the heat and drop in a piece of butter. Of course, sunflower oil will work too. But with butter, the taste is much more delicate. Then pour the omelet mixture into the pan and cover with a lid.

Step 5

Set the heat to medium and let the omelet cook covered without lifting the lid so it doesn’t deflate. A transparent lid is best. When the omelet rises and sets, turn off the heat. Serve piping hot.
