Wash the cucumbers and trim both ends. Cut the cucumbers into sticks.

Peel the carrots and grate them on a Korean-style carrot grater. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press.

Combine the cucumbers, garlic, and carrots in a deep bowl.

Add salt, sugar, Korean carrot seasoning, pepper flakes, and optionally monosodium glutamate. Pour in vegetable oil and vinegar.
