Cucumbers in a Bag
Description
Suitable for both holidays and everyday meals. You may find it interesting. Serve with greens and sauce.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Rinse the cucumbers under cool running water and slice them lengthwise (into quarters or smaller). Use large, ripe cucumbers. If the skin is too tough, peel it off first with a vegetable peeler.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the dill and trim off the stems. Finely chop the greens with a sharp knife. You can add any other herbs you like—for example, scallions or parsley.
- 3
Step 3

Peel the garlic and slice it into thin rounds. You can also grate it or run it through a garlic press. Add the herbs and garlic to the cucumbers.

Step 4

Take a sturdy transparent bag. It must be completely intact, without a single hole; otherwise the juice released by the cucumbers will leak out. Put the cucumbers with herbs and garlic into the bag and salt them. Shake well and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours. When serving, you can dress the cucumbers with garlic dressing.
