Perfectly suitable for tea and coffee. There are some nuances regarding serving it with tea or coffee.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    1. Add yeast and sugar to room temperature water and mix. You can use less sugar, for example, if you plan to make a pastry with a meat filling.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

    2. Then add 3-4 tablespoons of flour, mix well. Cover the resulting dough with a towel and let it rest for 10 minutes to allow the yeast to activate.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

    3. When bubbles appear in the dough, add the soured milk and mix well first with a spoon, then with a whisk.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

    4. Add 1 egg to the dough, along with the melted butter. Add salt (2 pinches) and mix well.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

    5. Divide the flour into 2 parts, add them to the dough alternately, stirring with a spoon or whisk.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

    6. Before placing the dough on the surface, pour a couple of spoons of sunflower oil onto the surface and on your hands, then knead the dough. Add a little flour if necessary (if the dough is too sticky and doesn't hold its shape well).

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

    7. To allow the dough to rest and rise, transfer it to the multicooker bowl, previously greased with oil or dusted with flour. Set the temperature to 35 degrees and the time to 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

    8. Remove the dough and knead it once again. Its consistency should change—it may slightly stick to your hands, but do not add more flour. Shape it into a ball, place it onto parchment paper. Cover with a towel and let it rest for another 15 minutes.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

    9. After 15 minutes, place the bread in an oven preheated to 160 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Check readiness with a toothpick, it should come out dry. 10 minutes before it's done, brush the loaf with beaten egg to get a nice crust. Let the bread rest for 2-3 hours before consuming.
